I am over in the Port Townsend area and I would like to see something in the fashion of a burn happen on this side.

What's the weather generally like in early may on the penninsula? Warm and dry is always appreciated. Late spring/early summer is generally a good bet.

Keep an eye on the schedules of other events. Try to avoid conflicing with Critical Massive, Soak & vancouver's burn, and also pay attention to other events such as OCF, Pride Parade(s), Folklife & other music festivals. But don't be ruled by other schedules; we're rich in events around here and any festival will always conflict with something else.

What scale event are you thinking? An afternoon festival, overnight camping, 2 or 3 day weekend? Consider starting smallish; you don't want to underwhelm.

Once you nail stuff down, consoider contact the nearby regionals so they can get some publicity out, and also consider getting something into Jack Rabbit Speaks.

Son of, I am so there. I got a couple of friends who are newbies this year to the playa and this would be an excellent way for an intro. I am ready to help in any way I can, just let me know. Maybe we can even get some of the peeps from the Seattle side to come to this side. Oh man i am pumped now.

By the way, I also know you as Son of Ugly on eplaya. You recall I sent you a messgae asking how your father felt about you being called Son of Ugly.

Look forward to meeting you. Let's really do this thing.

Great point, Mike. I'd venture to say that I'd support your event too, people. Yay for more burn.

talked to the owner of the property(my dads buddy) and he said its cool and will most likely show up...

thinkging start showin up early friday morning the 8th and having people leaving sunday

still not sure if i can get a good sound system, if anyone on here has one they would want to set up that would be cool

what kind of music? any and all.... also got a buddy in a band that was thinking he might wanna play during saturday maybe(he's gonna be heading down to BM with me this year for his 1st time btw)

try and figure out how many people are interested so far, how many are more then interested: as of now i have about 5 burners that i camped with that are sure they are going to come and about 5 that want to come, and 5 friends that want to come
i want to know how much mre i want to post and tell other to fill it up with out telling to many and haveing 200 show up and be way to crowded

still can get tons of wood to burn, want to make "something cool to burn" so when its not to far off if anyone around this way wants to help make somthing on site to burn

and most of all any more input on what others want, any other ideas of how to make it better

stuff you guys want to bring

    some art

nice to have it a particapent even and not just a spectator event ya know

and there is recycling dumpsters with in walking from here
